登場してイキナリ敵となってしまった参号機。
実は初号機の次に私の好きな機体である。トウジには活躍して
ほしかっただけに非情に残念だ（ＰＳ２版ゲームでは活躍したが…）。
特に１９話、最強の使徒ゼルエルと初号機の戦闘シーンは
エヴァＴＶシリーズ全２６話中、最も燃えたシーンだった。
一度はパイロットとして戦うことを止めたシンジが父ゲンドウに

もう一度自分の決意を告げるシーン…あの瞬間、シンジは父を越えた。
初号機のケモノじみたアクションも鳥肌モノ。
人気の高いエピソードが２話も収録されているので、見逃せない。

私はboxを買ったのですが映像、音響ともに改良されてより完成度の高い作品になりました。もちろんストーリーも素晴しいです。ちなみにこのディスクに収録されている第拾七~弐拾話はエヴァンゲリオン中でも重要な場面が結構あるところです。

とかく本能的でDeepな領域に突入。フォースチルドレンの選抜、3号機が使徒に乗っ取られる
と、あっというまに話が展開していって眼が離せない。そしてミサトの優しさから生まれる
皮肉な運命は悲しすぎるよー。

19話、「男の戦い」では、なんか出てきたー、下から出てきたーって感じで驚いたもんです
が、それ以上に、あの作画はスゴイ。ある意味作画崩壊してる。

20話では、シンジの中での妄想というより、妄迷ですが、あの抽象的な世界を表現する庵野
秀明もスゴイ。ただ、ああゆう表現って狙ってやると途端につまらんくなるのがオチなんで、
彼自身、何面性もありそうな性格だよね・・・。
